Summer’s almost over and in a few weeks’ time, September will be here and with it a return to routine. But we have to maintain the energy we have received from the sun, and there is no better way of doing that than by decorating our homes with houseplants. Are you ready to get started?

In this blog, I am going to summarise the different ranges you will find at Rachel’s to embellish your garden or garden centre, with a beautiful assortment that makes you want to wander around while selecting the best specimens to give a fresh, natural touch to your favourite spaces.

I would like to highlight a few suggestions that I find very interesting:

• Palm trees. I love them as houseplants because they create a tropical atmosphere, extending the summer season all year round. In this range, you will find Kentias, Chamaedoreas, Arecas…

• Large plants that need very little space. I am including here Dracaenas and Yuccas with several trunks, Ficus, Scheffleras, Pothos… which are traditional crops in Almeria and which we produce in large numbers with a good range. By way of example, here are the varieties of Ficus we produce: Twilight, Tineke, Robusta, Robusta Adbijan, Melani, Marin, Lyrata, Golden King, Danielle, Benjamina, Belize Ruby, Audrey, Amstel King, Alii. You can find them in a wide range of sizes and shapes, such as bush, stems, stems with a plaited trunk, etc.

• Table plants. These are small plants with curious colours or leaf shapes that make them very attractive to customers. Monsteras, Crotons, Aralia, Philodendrons, Phlebodiums, Sanseviera…

• Hanging plants: impossible to forget. Pothos, Tradescantias mix, Nephrolepis, Aeschinanthus, Hoyas …
