In this red world, each of the Poinsettias becomes a piece of history where the love of family, the devotion to the plant and the evolution of a legacy are intertwined.

Today, I want to open my heart to you and share a precious and cherished memory.

It was 20 years ago, the age of my daughter Alba, that Isidro started growing the poinsettia to finish the year. As you already know, he is for me the best Hibiscus grower and that’s why lou lou® continues to support his cultivation, but he has agreed to venture into the difficult but exciting world of Poinsettia production. His beginnings were modest but full of promise. Since then, his love for these flowers has continued to grow, improving with each Christmas season, perfecting each of the specimens we enjoy today in his greenhouses.

Our history is not limited to horticulture. I remember a photo taken in the greenhouses, with my mother-in-law, my late mother and my daughter Alba. She was only a few months old and already in the fields with me. There was so much joy in that atmosphere, contemplating so much beauty. It was a scene that captured the very essence of Christmas: love, generations united, life and the beauty of tradition.

Later, my son joined us, and despite his ASD, he demonstrates an ability to delicately examine all the plants he comes across. I always saw him stop when he entered the greenhouse and contemplate in detail the amazing colours of the flowers, silently admiring their beauty.

The Poinsettia is not just a symbol of the season, but a witness to my family’s history. By improving it every year with great dedication, I believe that it’s not only important to grow flowers and plants, but also to cultivate the love and tradition in each petal to share with all those lucky enough to enjoy them in their homes.

Today, I want to celebrate the beauty of this plant, the Poinsettia, by honouring the stories behind it. I pay tribute to those who have gone before us and to those who, like Isidro, perpetuate the essence of this time of year. After all, it’s in these small details that the magic of this wonderful time of year lies.
