The Autism Association Dárata organised on the 18th of December, thanks to Juan Carlos Cintas, owner of the Indoor Football Facilities La Academia in Almería, a football day called 12 Horas FutboloTEAndo con Autismo.

As you know, Rachel is a member of the board of this Association, with which she collaborates whenever she can. The dates are more inviting than ever to participate in this event, so all our team was very enthusiastic to set up a stand in these facilities and to contribute with the sale of plants, whose profit was entirely donated to the association.

Many activities were carried out throughout the day.

• A large number of football matches were played, with participants making a direct contribution just by registering.  The proposal mobilised a large number of football fans with last minute surprises, such as the donation by the football team “Unión Deportiva Almería” of a shirt with the signature of each of their players.
  
  

• This was a great incentive for the fans of the team!
  The auction generated a lot of interest from the attendees.
  There were also craft workshops for the children, organised by Sonia Verdegay Martínez and Quini Rodríguez, members of the board of Dárata, who had a lot of fun with all the activities!
  
  

• We tried to raise funds with the sale of plants by Rachel&Co, many gifts donated by the sponsoring companies and the sale of certain items provided directly by Dárata, such as key rings, t-shirts, solidarity bracelets… We also sold and are still selling until the end of the year, some ballots to get 5 shirts donated by 5 active football players, including Dani Romera from S.D. Ponferradina and Antonio Puertas from Granada Club de Fútbol.

  There is still time to participate and take home a beautiful gift!
  
  

• Finally and with great interest from football lovers, a shirt donated by the football team of Almería, Unión Deportiva Almería, with the signature of all its players, was auctioned.

The truth is that the day was short and soon it was time to leave. The surprises continued throughout the day and the participants deserved a good rest.

We had a great time and it only remains for us to thank all the players for their great interest in the event and their good will with their contributions and the organisers of the day, Juan Carlos Cintas and Charo Medialdea for their successful idea. Thanks also to the sports lovers who came to enjoy football and collaborated with the association by buying items and participating in the raffle and last minute auction. And, of course, to my team for their participation in setting up the stand, preparing, selecting and selling the plant and for all the time they invested in the cause outside their working hours.

This type of action is appreciated all year round, but especially at Christmas time.
