All Saints’ Day is approaching and, although many towns and cities don’t have the same traditions, it’s a time to remember our loved ones. Flowers are usually the protagonists, with chrysanthemums, carnations, roses, … but there are green plants without flowers that can symbolise life, longevity and the connection with nature in a more discreet way. Here are a few examples:

Ficus Ginseng

This bonsai-like ficus is not only a decorative plant, it also symbolises peace, longevity and harmony. It’s a plant that evokes care and devotion, and can be a beautiful symbol on this special day to honour loved ones who have passed away.

At Rachel’s, we have different sizes available. You’ll always find the one that best suits the space your customers have available.

Its minimalist look, which is very much in vogue these days, invites you to meditate, to connect with energies, to reflect… I think it’s a very original plant!

 Bird’s nest fern (Asplenium nidus)

This fern with its large, shiny green leaves is a decorative plant that symbolises protection and shelter. Its circular, compact structure is reminiscent of a shelter, a nest, and can evoke the idea of keeping loved ones in our memories, in our hearts.

With its serene, balanced aesthetic, it represents a small offering of great significance to family members.

Philodendron (Philodendron)

Philodendron, which also has large, glossy leaves, is a plant that brings a sense of life and freshness. For me, it represents continuous growth and a connection with nature, which can symbolise the continuity of life and memory.

I see it as a highly original plant because of the number of varieties available, each of which comes in a wide variety of shapes and colours. It also symbolises life, in other words, eternal ties.

If your customers prefer more durable plants that are highly resistant to water stress and adaptable to low temperatures, I’ll suggest arrangements with succulents, agaves or succulents combined with aromatic plants such as thyme or rosemary. These arrangements are highly original.

Plants without flowers can be an interesting option for All Saints’ Day. Beyond the flowers, they offer a sober, lasting vision, and carry a message to honour loved ones. Presented as symbols of longevity, peace and serenity, these plants can be an alternative for those looking for a more discreet way of remembering this special date.
