In mid-October, the intensity of light starts to change: the hours of light decrease, the intensity depends on the time of the day, the orientation of the sun, …

We ourselves go from summer to autumn and think that our plants will adapt to the change by themselves, but sometimes it is difficult for them.

As we spend more time indoors, we will need to look at each of the specimens we have and, by customising their space, put them back in a place where they can grow best.

Many of your plants will seek light by reorienting their leaves. To keep them growing harmoniously, a simple rotation of the pot each week will help them to stay looking good. However, if the stems are getting longer and the leaves are starting to shrink in size, this means they are lacking light. Look for a brighter spot for them.

Another sign of reduced light is that the plant stops growing (stagnation) or grows more slowly than usual. Stopping its development is a temporary solution to the decrease in light, until it finds more favourable conditions for its development. Do you want your plants to be on stand-by while you enjoy the interior of your home, or would you rather admire them in all their splendour?

The change in colour is also due to the absence of light. A change in the tone of the leaves to yellow or dark green is a warning sign. The same is true if the underside of the leaf has a particular colour and tends to fade.

If the plant loses its leaves directly, it is like an SOS that means… Please, I need more light!

How can I solve this problem?

It is very easy. You just need to take the time to give your plants some LOVE.

Look carefully at all the flora in your home. Understand their nature, each one different from the other. There are so many tips!

– Keep them away from draughts (conditioned or natural)

– Observe their reactions

– Move them if you feel or see that they are not well

– Talk to them

– Put on some music

… In short, make them part of your family. This is the solution.

They will show off their splendour and generously decorate the best spaces in your home for you and your family.

So you know, … Keep thinking green!
